Environment​

  • A Xen Orchestra instance managing one or several XO Proxy appliances (XPA).
  • Shell access to a machine that can reach the XO instance and the proxy.

Procedure​

  1. Install xo-cli:
root@xoa
# sudo npm install --global xo-cli
  1. Register your xo-cli against the XO instance:
root@xoa
# xo-cli --register http://XO_IP xoa-support password
  1. Find the URL of the XO proxy:
root@xoa
# xo-cli proxy.getAll

  1. Find the IP address of the XO proxy appliance in xo-web.

  2. Install xo-proxy-cli and open the support tunnel:

root@dom0
# sudo -s
# npm i -g --unsafe-perm @xen-orchestra/proxy-cli
# xo-proxy-cli --url <proxy URL> appliance.check
# xo-proxy-cli --url <proxy URL> appliance.updater.getState
# xo-proxy-cli --url <proxy URL> appliance.supportTunnel.open
# xo-proxy-cli --url <proxy URL> appliance.supportTunnel.getState

Verification​

Run the last command, appliance.supportTunnel.getState, to confirm the support tunnel is open and retrieve its state.
