For the inodes:
- Backup blocks are 2 MB uncompressed, so 1 inode per block.
- One folder for each 1000 blocks, even if only one is used, so 1 inode per folder.
- VHD metadata is just some MB per disk, negligible.
- Backup metadata is also some MB per backup job, negligible.
With compression we are around 1 MB per block, so 1 million blocks per TB, which means about 1 million inodes per TB.
