Activate a trial period

Once your XOA is deployed and registered, you can activate a free trial to evaluate the full stack: for 30 days you get the complete feature set of the Enterprise bundle, without a purchase and with no credit card required. The trial also includes access to the Vates Pro Support team, without the guaranteed response times and 24/7 coverage of a paid bundle.

Prerequisites

• A deployed XOA (see Deploy and register XOA).
• A registered appliance, as described in Register your appliance.
• The updater needs outbound HTTPS access (port 443) to xen-orchestra.com and nodejs.org.

Start the trial

Everything happens in the Updates view of the Xen Orchestra main menu:

1. If not done yet, register the appliance with your email and password.
2. Click the green Start Trial button.
3. Click the Upgrade button: this downloads the full-featured trial appliance, activated for 30 days.

That's it: your appliance now runs with all features enabled, including advanced backup, replication and pro-level tooling, so you can evaluate the platform against your real infrastructure.

During and after the trial

The same Updates view shows when your trial ends. When it expires, the appliance is downgraded to the Free version. You won't lose any configuration data: everything you set up (connections, users, settings) is kept.
